Lamont Pierré began his filmmaking journey while attending Florida State University where he wrote, directed and produced the popular indie drama series ‘My Brother’s Keeper’ for three years.
After leaving Florida, Lamont landed a chance position working for acclaimed Oscar-nominated director and producer Lee Daniels in New York City. Lamont’s work on the film ‘Precious’ landed him an assistant to the Director position where he gained invaluable first-hand experience.
After his stint in NYC, Lamont headed to Los Angeles. After working for a literary and talent agency in Beverly Hills and becoming frustrated with the politics of working with and within the Hollywood system, Lamont decided to go back into business for himself producing his own work. In February of 2010, Lamont produced his short film ‘Tequila Sunrise’, which has just secured a national television distribution deal. Recently, Lamont completed work on his follow-up short film, ‘Plateaus’.
Currently, Lamont is preparing his first feature film, ‘Talking With the Taxman About Poetry’ as well as filming Season 3 to his indie drama series ‘My Brother’s Keeper’ in L.A., NYC, Atlanta and Miami.
